SUMMARY:
An established international manufacturer of agricultural chemicals requires the above to develop regional business strategies to achieve the agreed profit and volume goals for the relevant channel partner(s) and region, consistent with the overall sales and marketing strategy and implement key account management (KAM) principles and technical support solutions with designated key customers

POSITION INFO:


Minimum requirements for the role:

  • Must have a tertiary qualification in agriculture, business or related
  • At least 3 years’ experience within the agricultural industry, with a broad technical know-how of crops, products and farming practices are essential
  • A good understanding of the business, key account management, the market and how to add customer value will be required
  • Must have practical experience in developing and implementing sales strategies and plans
  • Sound business acumen, negotiating ability and excellent communication skills are important

 
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Developing and directing regional business strategies consistent with overall marketing and sales strategy.
  • Developing Market Information, Budgets, Forecasts, Business Planning and Partnership Agreements.
  • Identifying, defining, establishing and maintaining influential relationships with relevant institutes and key crop value opinion leaders.
  • Focusing resources on growers and key influencers in the food/feed chain, creating pull approaches.
  • Building relationships in value chain and identifying the lead influencers.
  • Identifying key crop, product and market opportunities and threats.
  • Supporting agents and growers with technical solutions on all aspects of key crop production.
  • Investigating and managing complaints/claims to minimise financial loss.
  • Developing the competence, motivation and commitment of Dealers and Agents through effective training, promotion and sales support aids.
  • Keeping abreast of market, trade and competitor activity in order to revise strategies to meet changing requirements.
  • Ensuring market information accuracy in iPlan for allocated crops.
  • Adopting and implementing Go to Market strategy and assisting with training of channel.
  • Ensuring the implementation of related campaigns.
  • Leading sales and any other interactions with relevant dealerships.
  • Supporting agents with technical and commercial information in order to achieve sales targets.
  • Gathering market intelligence.
  • Handling product complaints.

 Salary package is highly negotiable depending on experience
