JOB SUMMARY:
An all rounder, listed JSE concern is looking for a well-rounded, analytical and well-spoken newly qualified CA(SA) as an Assistant Accountant, to join their leading FMCG company.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job and Company Description:
My client is a top 40 JSE company and one of the largest manufacturers and marketers of FMCG products in South Africa. The incumbent must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment with large volumes of work.

As the Assistant Accountant you will be responsible for:

Full accounting function up to trial balance
Preparing month-end files with supporting documentation
Preparing audit packs, documents and schedules required by the external auditors
Adjusting journal entries and accounting for provisions
Reconciling inter-company accounts
Processing and reconciling bank statements
Processing and reconciling petty cash
Maintaining proper fixed asset registers with supporting documents
Debtors and creditors control
Calculating income tax, VAT and employee's tax liabilities
Preparing VAT reconciliations
Cash flow management
Loading transfers, beneficiaries and payments
Resolving any accounting discrepancies and irregularities
Attending to SARS audits and submitting supporting documents
Managing and training subordinates to meet finance's expectations
Any accounting related matter

Job Experience and Skills Required:

Newly qualified CA(SA)
