JOB SUMMARY:
Automotive Component Manufacturing company based in Rosslyn, Pretoria has a new opportunity for an Assistant Accountant (EE). The purpose of the role is to provide accurate and timeous financial information to Plant Management to make an informed business decision.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A completed National Diploma in Accounting or B.Com (Accounting) / similar with a minimum of 2+ years commercial experience as an Assistant Accountant is essential. Report directly to the Financial Controller and be responsible for ensuring compliance with internal controls; assist with the preparation of operational budget and operational forecast; financial reporting and GL; audits and financial period-end process; cost accounting including - prepare and review detailed product costing analysis for all new parts; analysis of all current parts and make recommendations for the financial recovery on distressed parts; calculate and propose potential price increases; review GP percentage of individual BOM's and identify distressed parts; ensure that the routings reflect the time standards and delete obsolete routings; investigate PPV's; identify improvement opportunity and make recommendations for improvement and participate in Continuous Improvement Initiatives; creditors, banking and cash management; debtors; CAPEX and fixed assets; statutory returns and stock control including overseeing of stock takes. Working experience within a Manufacturing / Factory or Automotive Manufacturing concern with ERP experience highly desireable. Position will suit a candidate who lives in or around the Pretoria North / Rosslyn / Ga-Rankuwa areas.
