Assistant Finance Planning & Analysis Manager (South Africa)

The Opportunity:

Here at ourRetail our are we are looking for an experienced Assistant Finance Planning & Analysis Manager to join us in our Dublin headquarters. As part of our in-house Finance Department, you will collaborate both within the team and across other departments on a daily basis. You will be given the support and autonomy to progress within the role along with a continued focus on up skilling and further education.

How you will make a difference:

• Assist the Finance Director with preparing monthly reporting packs, forecasts, and budgets.
• Assisting with the manual uploads of Budgets and Forecasts into Aemi and EPM.
• Assisting to create and maintain monthly KPI reports.
• Analyse financial data and use financial models for forecasting.
• Track revenue and gross margin by business unit and expenses by cost center.
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts.
• Study and analyse trends and forecasts to inform recommended actions.
• Establish policies and procedures that guide cost analyses.
• Work closely with the leadership team to formulate short- to long-term financial and strategic plans.

• Evaluate previous budgets and collaborate with business unit leaders to build their annual budgets and forecasts.
• Produce models to project long-term growth, accounting for factors that will impact performance.
• Communicate results and recommendations to senior management that will lead to revenue generation, cost reduction and more efficient operations.
• Assistance with Month-End closure reporting and analysis.
• Assisting in general financial management and analysis.

The skills you will bring:

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) 3-5 year PQE.
• Excellent Working knowledge of MS Excel (advanced).
• Advanced SAP and Power BI knowledge is preferable.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and changing priorities.
• Attention to detail, have a methodical and meticulous work approach.
• You have a finance background, ideally with experience in IT; inflight retail or supply chain.
• You have fluent English, both oral and written.
• You have an investigative, methodical and tenacious mind-set with the self-motivation to drill down through large volumes of data while clearly focussing on the end objective.
• You have strong communication skills and have the ability to deal with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
