SUMMARY:
Our client, a successful and busy, medium sized auditing and accounting practice, is looking for a client-oriented Chartered Accountant to join their team, based in Northern Suburbs CT.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

Auditing: Scrutinising financial statements meticulously to ensure accuracy, compliance with regulations, and the absence of fraud or misrepresentation.
Taxation: Calculating and filing tax returns for businesses, trusts and individuals, advising on complex tax laws, and strategising for optimal tax efficiency.
Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements that present a true and fair view of a company's financial health, ensuring adherence to accounting standards.
Management Accounting: Analysing costs, budgets, and performance data to support strategic decision-making.
Business Consulting: Providing strategic advice on mergers, acquisitions, financial restructuring, and other critical business matters.
Day to day practice management: managing a team of 15 staff in collaboration with a practice manager and business partner.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

CA(SA) (required) and RA (preferred); registered tax practitioner (good standing).
10 years post qualifying experience (PQE) preferred, 5 years PQE minimum.
Up to date comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of tax.
IFRS and specifically IFRS for SMEs.
Knowledge of PPRA, FCA and LPC audit and reporting
Good interpersonal skills.
Good at practice and personal administration.
Good at managing and controlling staff.
Problem solving attitude.
Client service orientation.
