JOB SUMMARY:
Dynamic Engineering Consulting company in the building services industry, requires the full-time services of a seasoned ECSA registered Professional (Pr Eng) Mechanical Engineer to act as Head of the Mechanical Department, lead and mentor junior Engineers, manage the technical team and projects, and liaise with clients.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Duties & Responsibilities
HVAC and Wet Services designs and installations
Prepare Tender specifications and bill of quantities (BOQ), cost estimates and fee proposals
Site monitoring and contractor management
Attend site meetings
Deal with contractual related matters
Cost control - budget management
Technical writing and reporting
Liaison with clients, utilities and other engineering disciplines

Desired Experience & Qualification
B Eng or BSc Eng in Mechanical Engineering
8-10+ years' experience in Mechanical Engineering - HVAC and Wet Services design and installations, building services knowledge
The following is experience is essential,
- Experience in HVAC designs and installations
- Experience in Wet Services designs and installations
- Experience in Tender Specifications and BOQ’s
- Experience in Site monitoring and Budget management
- Strong leadership and people skills
- The ability to delegate work and good management skills
- Good problem-solving skills with strong technical ability in Building Services
Sign-off engineering documents in building services
MUST have own reliable transport, prepared to travel and medically fit to work on construction sites
