Key Responsibilities Conduct legal research and draft legal opinions, pleadings and correspondence. Assist with cyber incident response and breach counsel matters, including ransomware and extortion events. Support advice to insurers and corporate clients on insurance coverage, monitoring and regulatory compliance. Assist with cyber, insurance and commercial litigation matters. Support forensic and regulatory workstreams during cyber incidents. Liaise with clients and other stakeholders under supervision. Assist with matters involving data protection, technology risks, cyber governance and emerging cyber and AI risks. Manage deadlines and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Requirements Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. 1+ years’ post-qualification experience. Insurance disputes experience is essential. Experience or strong interest in cyber law, data protection and technology-related disputes. Exposure to cyber incident response, ransomware, privacy regulation or insurance coverage disputes is advantageous. Commercial litigation, financial lines, arbitration and dispute resolution experience will be beneficial. Excellent legal drafting, grammar, communication and analytical skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and document management systems. Strong organisational and time-management skills. Detail-oriented, motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
