JOB SUMMARY:
To provide guidance and execute specialized audits for the portfolio, including the provision of industry/ best practice knowledge to enhance the audit process and the audit report. Perform audits / reviews mainly within the Credit and Collections environments including Model Risk.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Critical Competencies

Knowledge of Credit & Collections and related Models in Retail Banking environment.
Thorough knowledge of bank policies, procedures and practices, particularly within Retail Banking and related products, with sufficient knowledge of laws and regulations governing banks including but not limited to:Banks Act and Banking RegulationsIIA Standards and Code of Ethics,IFRS Standards,Basel IV, Systems audit knowledge,
Analytical skills and experience in data analytics (e.g. ACL, SAS, SQL, IDEA, Advanced Excel).

Minimum Experience

At least 3 years’ experience (including in the Banking/Financial Services industry), with specialization in Credit and/or Model Risk audit. Supervisory experience on audit projects would be an advantage.
At least 3 years’ experience in model risk-based auditing or model risk/control activities
At least 3 years’ experience in Internal/External audit or commensurate experience in a major financial services institution
At least 2 years’ experience of SAS programming experience
Experience in and prior exposure to Credit and Model Risk is preferred.
