POSITION INFO:
A well-established engineering company specializing in industrial, mining, process, and infrastructure projects is seeking an experienced Autodesk Plant 3D Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize its Plant 3D environment. This role is ideal for a technically driven professional with a passion for CAD systems, database management, engineering standards, and providing technical support to multidisciplinary engineering teams. Key Responsibilities Plant 3D Administration Administer and maintain the Autodesk Plant 3D environment across multiple engineering projects. Configure and customize Plant 3D project templates, specifications, catalogs, symbols, and reports. Manage project databases, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company standards. Develop and maintain engineering workflows, project structures, and CAD standards. Troubleshoot Plant 3D software issues and provide technical support to engineering and design teams. System Management Manage Plant 3D project setup, permissions, backups, and version control. Coordinate software updates, installations, licensing, and configuration. Ensure seamless integration between Plant 3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Revit, Vault, and other Autodesk applications where applicable. Maintain specification databases and component libraries. Engineering Support Provide technical guidance to piping designers, draughtsmen, and engineers. Develop and maintain custom scripts, automation tools, and reporting solutions where required. Assist project teams with complex Plant 3D modelling challenges. Ensure compliance with client specifications, industry standards, and internal quality procedures. Training & Continuous Improvement Train new users on Plant 3D workflows and best practices. Develop user guides and technical documentation. Identify opportunities to improve drafting efficiency through automation and standardized workflows. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department. Minimum Requirements Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, Engineering Design, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 5 years' experience working with Autodesk Plant 3D in an engineering or EPC environment. Proven experience administering Autodesk Plant 3D projects, specifications, and databases. Strong understanding of process plant design, piping systems, and engineering documentation. Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D project setup, catalog management, and spec editing. Knowledge of SQL databases, Autodesk Vault, Navisworks, and Revit will be advantageous. Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering teams.
