Automation & Electromechanics Engineer

SUMMARY:
My international client close to Germiston is looking for a degreed Automation & Electromechanics Engineer to join their team and oversee the instruments and control systems from an engineering perspective ensuring all maintenance, design, additions etc are performed professionally.   South African citizens only please.

POSITION INFO:
Required:

• Degree in Engineering preferably Electromechanics and Automation (a National Diploma will be considered)
• SAP proficiency
• Knowledge of SCADA and advanced PLC systems and their integration (SIEMENS, OMRON, SCADA)
• Knowledge of QIS systems
• 5 years plant automation experience as a Senior Automation Specialist
• Demonstrated experience with proven track record in troubleshooting and analysis of instrumentation and process engineering system problems
• Knowledge of Failure Mode, effects and criticality analysis and root cause analysis
• Excellent knowledge of regulation loops, P&ID Reading and Modulization, Siemens Programming
• Excellent knowledge of SIMATIC STEP7 (TIA Porta) and MOVITOOL
• Solid knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic principles and related automation controls
• Good mechanical background (conveyors, pumps, compressors, generators etc)

• Plant machine efficiency (ME performance)
• Preventative maintenance
• Reactive maintenance
• Strong use of CI tools
• Safety leadership (LOTOTO)
