SUMMARY:
Are you an experienced Automation Engineer with a strong mechatronics background who enjoys working in the field and engaging directly with clients on-site? This role is ideal for someone who thrives in hands-on, real-world environments, enjoys working with automated systems, and is comfortable performing regular site visits to install, support, and optimise technical solutions.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Install, commission, and support automated systems at customer sites Conduct regular site visits to assess system performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical support Perform system configuration, setup, and functional testing in field environments Assist with PLC-based systems and automation equipment Provide on-site fault-finding, diagnostics, and troubleshooting Train customers on system operation, maintenance, and best practices Complete all installation, commissioning, service, and site visit documentation Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, electrical standards, and company procedure Skills & Experience: Proven experience working in the field as an Automation or Mechatronics Engineer Demonstrated experience performing site visits and client-facing technical work Strong electrical, automation, and system integration knowledge Ability to work independently and travel to various client sites Valid driver's licence Experience with monitoring, control, or traceability systems Exposure to industrial or manufacturing environments Qualification: Minimum of BEng \/ BTech in Mechatronics \/ Electrical Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
