Automation Engineer

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To create, design, develop and implement RPA solutions aimed at maximising efficiencies for business in line with the overall company digital transformation strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

• To analyse current business processes in collaboration with business process owners and key stakeholders to identify and evaluate opportunities for automation
• Translate business requirements and current and future state process designs into automation ready process flows
• Collaborate with business architects and business process owners to create automated solutions for business
• Support the planning, prioritisation and implementation of automation solution testing and go live (operationalisation)

REQUIRED EDUCATION

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• A relevant Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Sciences or Engineering, Management Information systems, Mathematics or equivalent field.

DESIRED EDUCATION

• Automation certification (UiPath)

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

• At least 3-5 years' experience with software development life cycle and RPA technologies (preferably UiPath) that included process reengineering and business process analysis

DESIRED EXPERIENCE

• At least 2 years' experience in complex RPA and related automation development.
• At least 2 to 4 years' of professional experience in programming (including scripting /coding), SQL and relational databases, Java Script, .Net and application development

REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Architecting and developing workflow based solutions or functionality
• Comfortable interacting with and influencing business stakeholders and external clients
• Database query languages
• Object oriented programming languages and scripting
• Process reengineering and business process analysis
• Project and Change Management involving IT and UAT management
• RPA Software (e.g. BluePrism, UiPath, WorkFusion)
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Web development technologies preferential
• Willingness to learn and become an expert in RPA and other automation technologies
