Automation Project Engineer

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Automation Project Engineer to manage and deliver industrial automation projects from concept through to commissioning. The role combines hands-on engineering with project coordination, working closely with clients, suppliers, and multi-disciplinary engineering teams.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead automation projects from design to commissioning
• Develop control system architectures and automation solutions
• Program and configure PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and documentation
• Coordinate with electrical, mechanical, and software teams
• Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT)
• Support on-site commissioning and client handover
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards

• Degree or Diploma in Automation, Electrical, Electronic, or Control Engineering
• Proven experience delivering industrial automation projects
• Strong PLC programming experience (e.g. Siemens, Rockwell, Schneider, or similar)
• HMI/SCADA development experience
• Ability to read electrical schematics and control documentation
• Strong communication and project coordination skills
• Willingness to travel to site when required
