Purpose Of The Job:
 
Our client, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Automotive Financial Controller / Administrator to join their team.
This role is ideally suited to a strong dealership finance and administration professional with solid knowledge of dealership accounting processes, controls, and reporting, as well as practical experience working on the Automate / Evolve DMS system. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the dealership’s financial and operational administration functions while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficient reporting processes.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities:

• Daily financial administration and dealership accounting support
• Reconciliation of accounts, bank statements, and creditor/debtor accounts
• Assist with month-end procedures and financial reporting
• Process journals, invoices, payments, and general ledger entries
• Maintain accurate financial records and dealership documentation
• Support cashbook processing and banking functions
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company procedures
• Assist with stock reconciliations and dealership operational reporting
• Liaise with auditors, suppliers, and internal departments where required
• Utilise Automate / Evolve DMS efficiently for reporting and administration

• Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a dealership financial administration or financial controller role
• Previous franchised motor dealership experience essential
• Matric / Grade 12 essential
• Financial or Accounting qualification advantageous
• Working experience on Automate / Evolve DMS essential
• Strong accounting and reconciliation ability
• Computer literate with strong Excel skills
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
• Stable employment history with contactable references
• Motor industry experience essential
