Automotive Group Logistics Manager (Syspro), Silverton, R50 – 55 ctc

BCom Logistics,
5 years Logistic management experience,
Production environment knowledge,
Export, and Local Shipping knowledge,
ERP systems and
Experience with OEM's and related systems
Provide continuous support to Production/Warehouse/ Planning and Sales
Continues improvement of material flows
Ability to balance situational influences with own instincts
Provide continuous support to sales co-coordinators
Teach sub-ordinates to be self-supportive
Improve workflows – where required

DUTIES:

Ensure weekly/ monthly/ yearly targets are adhered to ie warehouse/ sales

Expedite/ assist with meeting above targets

Reporting On Group and company targets

Customer Satisfaction Performance reporting

Compile and combine monthly reporting for both plants

Attend monthly Executive meeting

Performance charters exist for subordinates

Standards are monitored at shortest possible intervals

Performance appraisals conducted annually

Personal improvement and development plan established where required

Ensure job logos are updated as and when required

All incoming and outgoing liaison with customers

a) Attend customer meetings

b) Complaints

c) Logistics

d) Enquiries

e) Deliveries

f) Fully understand customers packaging and reporting requirements.

Ensure there is an in-depth knowledge of our customer’s requirements and expectations

Have a pragmatic understanding of freight and marine issues in order to ensure optimum service from forwarder and shipper
