An established and growing property development company based in Durbanville is looking for an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join its team.

With extensive expertise across property development, project management and residential fund management, the company manages large-scale residential-for-rental portfolios and development investments.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The job incumbent will work closely with the Financial Manager: Projects and will be responsible for assisting the Finance Department along with the Project Management Team with various tasks and processes to guarantee the financial operations of the company and projects run smoothly.

The successful applicant will mainly be responsible for daily bookkeeping duties including recording financial data, reconciliation of customer invoices and statements, data entry and assisting the Financial Manager with timeous and accurate reports.

POSITION INFO:
RESPONSIBILITIES: Bookkeeping and filing of paperwork Entering financial data into Sage or spreadsheets and reconciling accounts Accounts Payable Preparation of monthly creditor payment batches Assist with Bank Reconciliations Assist in the preparation of supporting schedules for monthly management accounts and the annual audit Provide audit evidence\/documentation to the auditors Expense monitoring Payroll administration Complete monthly VAT submission Prepare monthly management accounts REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 5 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role A relevant diploma or degree in accounting Experience working with Sage advantageous Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office TO APPLY: If you're interested in this opportunity, please: Apply online at Click on the \"Apply\" button We thank all applicants for their interest.
