The Role:

Essential functions:

• Oversee a large team of diverse expertise.
• Develop and communicate vision and expectation levels to employees in business unit
• Empower, select, coach and retain qualified staff that contribute to the business unit
• Create a harmonious working environment, train, mentor staff and motivate all team members to perform efficiently
• Produce and monitor the implementation of annual tactical brand plans, ensuring that stated objectives are met on schedule and within approved budgets.
• Manage business activities focusing on financial and strategic growth of the BU
• Actively participate in the budgeting process and ensure all targets to an individual level are aligned with the LoB objective and communicated to all teams.
• Monitor and review project activities and ensure its completion within scheduled time and budgets/finance.
• Ensure all team members are provided with and adhere to the compliance training upon joining and training is being provided on an ongoing basis.
Skills and Experience:

Essential Qualifications:

• Relevant degree in Business Management or related field. BSc Computer Science, BCOMM Informatics, BEng or any similar degree

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelorâ??s degree
• Relevant Certification

Experience required:

• Function related experience: 5-10 years (Data industry)
• Leading teams: 5 years (within Data industry)
• Project experience: 5 years (within Data industry)

Other experience: 

• Established business management track-record and experience in a complex business/commercial environment.
• Proven ability to develop business strategy and objectives
• Well-versed in how business operates, with strong commercial and finance acumen
• High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas
• Excellent judgement and analytical skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to anticipate business relevant issues or risks and to â??see around the cornerâ?.
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
