JOB SUMMARY:
Back-End Developer – R35k/month – JHB (Randburg) – 6-month contract (with a possibility of going perm – Start 1 June 2022 – open to all

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client in Randburg is looking for a Back-End Developer, who can create software programs that run required processes in an effective and efficient manner, to join their team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Actively participate in the overall application lifecycle.
• Focus on coding and debugging.
• Collaborate with front-end developers.
• Define and communicate technical and design requirements
• Write effective APIs
• Testing and deploying programs and applications.
• Adhering to coding quality control requirements.
• Create security and data protection settings
• Meeting deadlines and time budgets for the development of software.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining, and improving existing software.
• Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance.
• Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products.
• Developing technical documentation to guide future software development projects.
• Adhering to CDA’s policies and processes.
• Understanding the CDA culture and behaving in a manner that reflects the culture.
• Ensures that relevant information is passed on to clients and management who should be kept informed

Minimum requirements:
• Certifications in tech stack languages
• Degree in Computer Science (Preferred)
• Proven experience as a Back-End Developer or similar role
• Experience developing applications
• Familiarity with the company tech stack (1-2 years’ experience) (HTML, CSS, Javascrtipt, Python, ReactJS, Postgresql, NextJS)
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (HTML, CSS, Javascript,)
• Knowledge and experience (1-2 years) in multiple back-end languages and frameworks (Python, NodeJS)
• Familiarity with databases (Postgresql)
• Familiarity with webservers (NGINX)
• Familiarity with project management
