Back-End Java Developer (Senior)

POSITION INFO:

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications using Java 17+, J2EE, Kafka, SQL, and cloud-native tools.
• Translate business requirements into robust, secure, and scalable solutions.
• Manage cloud infrastructure integrations using AWS ALB, ECS, RDS, OpenSearch, and Grafana stack.
• Optimize SQL queries and implement Flyway database migrations.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and provide technical leadership and mentorship within the Agile Working Model (AWM).
• Prepare and maintain technical/system documentation and user manuals.
• Handle operational support, including after-hours standby, and perform system audits.
• Assist in business analysis, risk identification, and stakeholder communication.

• Java 17+, J2EE, JAX-RS, JPA, JTA, ORM
• SQL and performance optimisation
• Flyway DB migrations
• Kafka, PostgreSQL
• AWS: ALB, ECS, RDS
• Observability stack: OpenSearch, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Prometheus, Mimir, X-Ray
• DevOps: GitHub, GitHub Actions, Maven
• Agile experience using Jira/Confluence

• Web and digital project experience
• Strong background in Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience in requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement
• Risk and system audit familiarity

Qualifications & Experience:

• Degree in IT or a related field
• 8+ years of professional development experience
• Bonus: cloud certifications, experience in automotive or sales-related digital platforms
