SUMMARY:
Join a Dynamic Marketing Company as a Backend Developer!

We’re looking for a talented Backend Developer to take charge of maintaining, enhancing, and building Python-based APIs and backend systems. This is a hybrid position based in Somerset West.

POSITION INFO:
Duties and responsibilities:
Maintain existing Python-based APIs:

Maintain and update existing Python APIs
Prioritise and address bugs and features
Liaises with internal stakeholders on requirements and specifications for fixes and features
Liaise with dev ops for release and deployment on Linux servers
Troubleshoot and debug production issues related to APIs

Documentation:

Write and maintain internal documentation for APIs and other systems for which you are responsible
Liaise internally with marketing and media teams who produce documentation and marketing material for clients

Develop new web APIs:

Participate in development of any new required web frontends
Liaise internally to scope work and assist in architecture design
Work with internal stakeholders to understand requirements

Requirements:

4+ years Python experience
3+ years database experience
6+ years of programming experience
