SUMMARY:

An industry leader in the lightning protection and earthing industry which is based in the Gauteng Province and within the Boksburg area, is recruiting for an experienced and skilled accountant

POSITION INFO:

Experience

The successful incumbent must possess at least five (5) years’ experience in terms of performing the functions and responsibilities of an accountant, including working with team members to optimally achieve the Company’s objectives and targets.

Formal qualifications

Matric or equivalent NQF level of education.
A Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Financial Accounting would be advantageous
Valid driving license code 08

Responsibilities

Profit and loss account
Income and expenditure accounts
Asset and Liabilities
Maintaining an asset register
Account administration, e.g., account receivables, invoicing, payment allocations
Monthly budget planning and reporting
Compiling accurate management reports
Compiling accurate monthly trial balance and balance sheets
Analysing management reports and financial statements
Stock control management
Processing orders and stock movements on the accounting system
Monitoring supplier PO v stock
Managing the payroll system
Cash forecasts and cashflow management
Liaison with SARS
General administration
Calculating of the Company’s tax and VAT portfolio, including the calculation of PAYE figures
Monitoring inventory levels
Assisting with monthly consolidations of financial results
Assisting with year-end preparation for audit schedules
Reporting to the relevant stakeholders regarding operational functioning and feedback
