Bookkeeper, East London

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Bookkeeper for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape

POSITION INFO:

Applicants are required to meet the following criteria:
 

• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification with at least 5 years’ experience as a bookkeeper
• Previous experience in the quick service restaurant industry advantageous

• Import and match banking transactions and handle bank reconciliations
• Complete control of staff accounts and monitor bank accounts
• Month end debtors’ recons
• Banking and petty cash control
• Assist with audit readiness and queries
• Inter company debtors and creditors reconciliations
• Loan account reconciliations and general journal entries
• Balance sheet reconciliations and handling travel arrangements
• Staff welfare purchases and ensure all certificates / licenses are in place
• Daily submission of reports and handling of payments
• Payroll journal entries and stock control understanding and processing
• Following the PO projects process
• Capture invoices and handle the supplier application process
• Prepare creditors reconciliations and payments
• Loading of general payments – including beneficiary loading and reviewing
• Raising accruals and prepare creditors reconciliations
• Obtaining cash up sheets, import sales and follow up on differences
• Weekly / monthly reporting reconciliations
