Qualified Accountant required for a reputable Accounting company based in East London, Eastern Cape

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with proficiency in various software applications such as Pastel, Payroll, Caseware, and E-filing. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and work independently is crucial for this role. The candidate should also possess excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process monthly and annual clients' financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Compile management reports to provide insights and analysis to clients.
• Handle various clients' payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
• Submit PAYE and VAT submissions on E-filing, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and income tax submissions for clients.
• Calculate personal and companies' income tax, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
• Perform administrative tasks related to respective clients, ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license and own transport are essential for this role.
• Proficiency in software applications such as Pastel, Payroll, Caseware, and E-filing is non-negotiable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work independently.
• Proof of qualifications in accounting/bookkeeping (diploma, degree, articles, etc.) would be advantageous.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing.
