SUMMARY:
Our client is seeking a proactive and experienced Branch Manager to lead their team in Kraaifontein, Western Cape. This role requires a hands-on leader with at least 2–3 years of relevant experience, a Matric certificate, and preferably a related tertiary qualification. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent telephone etiquette, and a customer-focused mindset, with proven skills in relationship management. A valid driver’s license, own reliable transport, and flexibility to travel within the region are essential. Candidates must be computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office and Sage, and bring a professional, friendly, and service-oriented attitude to the role.

REQUIREMENTS:

DUTIES:- Oversee daily operations of the storage facility, ensuring exceptional customer service and efficient resource management
- Drive achievement of sales goals and occupancy targets for the branch
- Manage client relations, customer service, sales, marketing, property maintenance, logistics, stock control, and branch administration
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe working environment, including branch aesthetics, gardens, communal areas, kitchens, and bathrooms, according to company standards
- Sell unit, parking, warehouse, and office space, converting leads and upselling all packages on offer
- Assist clients and staff with equipment, maintenance, and property-related matters as needed
- Communicate effectively and professionally across all channels (email, WhatsApp, letters), demonstrating strong business etiquette
- Ensure all signage is correctly displayed and maintained in good condition
- Manage customer service for new, existing, potential, retained, and exiting clients
- Perform administrative duties such as member enquiries, quotations, contracts, deposits, refunds, FICA verification, copying, and printing
- Oversee general office management including reception duties, telephone answering, parcel handling, printing station management, communal staff areas, stock ordering, stocktaking, cleaning schedules, rosters, staff, and property management
- Handle finance-related tasks: e-wallet management, daily cashbook reconciliation, cash-ups, and weekly bank deposits
- Use Sage Evolution software thoroughly to record client interactions, quotations, contracts, and sales progress
- Conduct daily debt collection via telephone calls and SMS
- Support storage, packing, and logistics by assisting with packaging, coordinating removal companies, and general operational support
- Manage staff performance, discipline, and productivity, reporting issues to Human Resources via the Regional Manager
- Verify client information and collect FICA documentation to create new contracts
- Promote the company brand professionally, generating leads and closing sales
- Update marketing reports using Sage Evolution and other management tools
- Conduct daily facility maintenance walks with staff to inspect previous work, check security, allocate tasks, and manage the team effectively
- Oversee maintenance projects, submit maintenance reports, and update Occupational Health and Safety checklists
- Ensure branch perimeter walls, electric fencing, and all security features are fully functional and maintained
- Comply with Occupational Health and Safety policies, including checking fire equipment service dates and ensuring equipment is in good working order
- Ensure vacant storage units are cleaned promptly upon client vacancy and report any damages for repair before new occupancy
- Suspend services or overlock arrears storage units and offices when necessary, providing overlock lists and information to staff and Regional Manager
- Ensure all security procedures are implemented and followed, conducting daily site security walks and immediately reporting security issues to the Regional Manager and CEO
HOURS:- Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
- Every last Saturday of the month: 08:00 – 12:00
