JOB DESCRIPTION:

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for the Operational Management of branch and to grow the revenue and profitability in support of strategic objectives.

Major tasks:

Annual operational plan is outlined in support of strategic objectives
Air freight export department functions effectively in line with SOPs
Ensure that all controllable budgeted line items do not exceed 100% of budget allocation
Plans are implemented to ensure financial performance targets are met for branch
Customer satisfaction survey is > 80%
Achieve an Employee Engagement Index score of > 80%
Staff turnover < 10%
Training and development plans in place for staff and reviewed bi-annually
Record of performance discussions held bi-annually and disciplinary processes

Minimum Qualification

Bachelors Degree in Commerce, with specialisation in Logistics preferred
At least 5-8 years’ experience in a similar position

Other Key Skills / Role requirements

Previous experience in medium/ large logistics/freight company
Previous management experience preferred.
Driver’s license required.
