Branch Manager (Logistics)

Purpose of the Job

Responsible for the Operational Management of branch and to grow the revenue and profitability in support of strategic objectives.

Major tasks:

• Annual operational plan is outlined in support of strategic objectives
• Air freight export department functions effectively in line with SOPs
• Ensure that all controllable budgeted line items do not exceed 100% of budget allocation
• Plans are implemented to ensure financial performance targets are met for branch
• Customer satisfaction survey is > 80%
• Achieve an Employee Engagement Index score of > 80%
• Staff turnover < 10%
• Training and development plans in place for staff and reviewed bi-annually
• Record of performance discussions held bi-annually and disciplinary processes

Minimum Qualification

Bachelors Degree in Commerce, with specialisation in Logistics preferred
At least 5-8 years’ experience in a similar position

Other Key Skills / Role requirements

• Previous experience in medium/ large logistics/freight company
• Previous management experience preferred.
• Driver’s license required.
