Join a Respected Building Contractor and Take Ownership of the Tendering Process Our client, an established and highly respected building contractor in Cape Town, is seeking an experienced Building Estimator who can independently manage the full tender process from enquiry through to final submission. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident estimator who thrives on accuracy, commercial awareness, and delivering competitive tenders across a variety of building projects. Key Responsibilities Manage the complete estimating and tender process from start to finish. Analyse tender documentation, drawings and specifications. Measure quantities and prepare accurate cost estimates. Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Compile comprehensive tender submissions. Attend site inspections and tender briefing meetings. Liaise with clients, consultants and project teams throughout the tender process. Assist with handovers to the operations team following successful tender awards. Minimum Requirements Proven experience as a Building Estimator within the construction industry. Demonstrated ability to complete full tenders independently. Strong knowledge of building methods, materials and construction costs. Excellent analytical, numerical and negotiation skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines. Proficiency in CCS Candy and Microsoft Excel will be highly advantageous. Relevant construction qualification preferred.
