Building Maintenance Assistant

Our client in the Agricultural Sector, based in Kirkwood, is currently looking to employ a Building Maintenance Assistant.

Requirements:

• Grade 10/Std.8 with Mathematics and English an advantage.
• Minimum ten years' proven experience in the building maintenance/construction environment.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English and Afrikaans.
• Must demonstrate technical ability and building trade knowledge (must be able to read drawings/blueprints).
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety requirements.
• Willingness to work overtime at short notice when required.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Contactable references related to relevant previous work experience required.
• Must have a high level of reliability and accountability.
• Medically fit to work at heights (i.e. scaffolding; roofs & MEWP’s).
• Code B (08) driver’s license a Must.
