A leading African FinTech and lending business is looking for a Business Analyst to join its Client Growth Product Team. Operating across multiple African markets, the organisation combines technology, data, and customer insights to deliver innovative lending solutions while driving financial inclusion.

POSITION INFO:
We're looking for a commercially minded Business Analyst who enjoys understanding customer behaviour, identifying growth opportunities, and translating business needs into innovative digital solutions. If you're passionate about creating exceptional customer journeys and using data to influence product decisions, this role is for you. Key Responsibilities: Gather and analyse business requirements to support customer acquisition, engagement, conversion, and retention initiatives. Partner closely with Product Owners, Sales, Marketing, and Client Growth teams to design and enhance customer-focused digital products and journeys. Analyse customer behaviour, business processes, and operational data to identify opportunities for growth, optimisation, and improved user experience. Translate commercial and customer requirements into clear user stories, functional specifications, process maps, and acceptance criteria. Collaborate with technical teams throughout the Agile development lifecycle to ensure successful solution delivery. Support A\/B testing, product experimentation, and continuous optimisation initiatives using customer and performance data. Assist with solution testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and implementation to ensure business objectives are achieved. Monitor product performance and recommend enhancements that improve customer satisfaction, conversion rates, and operational efficiency. Maintain accurate product documentation and facilitate communication between business and technical stakeholders. Job Experience and Skills Required: Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 2-6 years' experience in Business Analysis, Product Analysis, Functional Consulting, Digital Product, or Systems Analysis. Experience within FinTech, Financial Services, Banking, Digital Products, E-commerce, SaaS, or technology-driven businesses. Exposure to customer acquisition, digital marketing, CRM, client growth, customer experience, or product optimisation initiatives. Experience gathering and documenting business requirements and working with cross-functional stakeholders. Experience working within Agile environments alongside Product Owners and development teams. Exposure to product experimentation, customer journey optimisation, or data-driven product enhancements would be highly advantageous. Skills: Strong business analysis and requirements elicitation skills. Commercial mindset with an understanding of customer acquisition, customer journeys, and client growth strategies. Ability to interpret customer and business data to identify trends and opportunities. SQL experience for data extraction and analysis. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, user stories, backlog refinement, and sprint planning. Experience using Jira, Confluence, Miro, Google Workspace, or similar collaboration tools. Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across commercial and technical teams. Strong analytical thinking with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to balance customer needs, commercial objectives, and technical feasibility. Self-motivated, adaptable, and passionate about delivering products that create measurable business impact.
