SUMMARY:
An International Mining Company has a CONTRACT vacancy for a Data Architect.

The purpose of Global Information Management (IM) is to enable the delivery of business processes, communication, collaboration and knowledge management through the deployment, support and maintenance of enterprise IT/OT technology, infrastructure, applications and Mine Technical systems.

POSITION INFO:

Data Modeling(Conceptual, Logical and Physical) – Expert
Semi Structured and Unstructured Data – Expert
ISA 88 and ISA 95 – Proficient
Data Profiling and Source Systems Analysis – Proficient
Data Governance(working with data owners, data stewards and data custodians in a federated governance model – Proficient
Metadata Management including a data catalogue – Proficient
Azure Data Lake Gen 2 – Proficient
Azure SQL – Proficient
Azure Analysis Services – Proficient
SQL Server – Proficient
OSISoft PI – Proficient
Mining Industry value chain processes – Competent
Systems development including the SDLC – Competent
Confluence - Beginner

Formal qualifications:

An undergraduate qualification (Bachelor''s degree or equivalent) in the relevant IM discipline and/or Technical competencies and certification with relevant years of experience in a similar role.

Safety Knowledge:

Provides a consistent outstanding role model concerning safety practices with a deep understanding of the importance of safety

Create conceptual and logical data models
Create data flow diagram
Create dictionaries, taxonomies and ontologies
Update data governance, data catalogue and data quality solutions
Work with application developers to ensure that data model is aligned with application design
Work with business data owners to achieve alignment on entity harmonization

Work with business architecture to ensure that the data structures in place meet the business requirements
