Business Analyst

SUMMARY:
Our external client is currently looking for a Business Analyst on a 12-month contract. He/She will analyse the SQL upgrade needs and high-level requirements. Identify server and application owner information and document for future use.

POSITION INFO:

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Matric and relevant IT qualification
• Business Analysis certification is advantageous.
•  SQL Database experience
• 3 years of working experience in the application of both business and systems analysis for mining solutions.
• Experience in gathering and writing requirements/solution documents.
• Experience in working with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Job Responsibilities:

• Gathering, analysing and documenting detailed evaluation of applications and server interfaces in the OT environment.
• Working together with SQL and the System owner / Stakeholder teams to deliver the solution.
• Schedule and monitor user acceptance testing on solutions developed according to specified business requirements with the SQL team and site Stakeholders.
• Assisting with the compilation of Risk Acceptance / Checklist sign off and any Stakeholder facing documentation.
• Presenting the Upgrade solution and interfaces to the team and assisting with go-live.
• Communicate with SQL Upgrade team (daily or as required) to provide input on requirements around SQL upgrade matters, interface requirements / firewall support issues, after implementation support issues or any progress reports required.
