Business Analyst

SUMMARY:

Our client in the telecommunications sector requires a Business Analyst on a 9 month contract.

POSITION INFO:

Key Responsibilities

• Perform business analysis by assessing business user requirements in terms of feasibility, impact and cost, thereby compiling accurate documents and ensuring stakeholder approval.
• Provide support within the system development life cycle of a project / initiative that could vary from providing subject-matter expertise; testing resources; post-deployment support; and/or being business/technical liaisons.
• Create financial models and business cases in order to quantify commercial opportunities.
• Engage with engineers and technology vendors in order to articulate functional requirements and/or identify commercial opportunities
• Translate technology innovations into commercial opportunities which can be communicated with marketing and other commercial stakeholders
• Management of a collection of projects in order to ensure that initiatives are delivered timeously.
• Capture in requirements in JIRA and confluence
• Support the technical resources and vendors in the further elaboration of user stories into technical requirements ensuring alignment to original solution design and business requirements.
• Assist the test team when communicating with external partners and vendors throughout the agile project delivery life cycle

• Preferential – Digital Lifestyle in the sport and gaming space
• BCom (Informatics) or BSc (software engineering) or equivalent qualification
• Knowledge and experience in Visio modelling tool, Aris or similar
• Experience with following an Agile methodology
• IT Savvy

•     3 - 5 years Business Analysis experience essential
•     2 - 3 years testing experience (desirable)
•     2 - 3 years Project Management experience (desirable)
•     At least 2 years telecommunications industry experience (desirable)
•     At least 3 years relevant technical experience
•     Insurance or Finance experience will be an advantage
