We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst a 12-month fixed term contract for Pretoria.

 

Purpose of the role:

The purpose of the Business Analyst role is to provide strategic business analysis services to stakeholders.

The role serves as the liaison between the customer community and the technical development team.

This person will be responsible for eliciting, analysing, validating, specifying, verifying, and managing the business needs of the project stakeholders, including customers and end users.

The successful candidate should have the ability to be deployed on new projects, assess the needs of the project, recommend how to approach the project; including who to elicit information from, what techniques to utilize, and how long it should take.

 

Minimum educational level:                                                      

• An Advanced Diploma/Bachelorâ??s Degree or Recognised Business Analysis Certificate or Diploma
• Excel PowerPivot experience
• Microsoft Certifications

 

We require the following work experience:

• Minimum of 5 yearsâ?? experience as the senior business analyst across multiple solution sets and technologies
• Knowledge of ITIL (Incident, Change, Release, Problem Management), CMMI, Agile, SDLC
• Business Process Mapping Data Modelling
• Experience across multiple facets of the project life cycle with adaptability to work in an Agile manner, i.e., business requirement collection, business process analysis, gap analysis, realization, final preparation, training, go-live, support
• Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical resources across all levels of a clientâ??s organization
• Candidate must be a team player and demonstrate good interpersonal, communication, problem solving and project coordination skills
• The successful candidate must have strong customer service attitude, ability to multi-task, high attention to detail proficiency level and ensure adherence to firm IT standards and change management procedures
• MS Office proficiency and willing and able to travel for up to 2 to 3 days at a time (international)

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Leading the analysis and design phase of all the digital transformation initiatives utilizing the latest technology offerings from Microsoft
• Working with clients to understand their current business processes, architecture, and reporting, as well as working with clients to define their digital transformation process and to establish a future state of their processes, reporting business intelligence
• Define new application or process requirements if the current applications and processes do not support the clientâ??s ultimate requirements
• The set up and running of workshops to work closely with the key enterprise clients to gather and interpret requirements within the business analysis frameworks and in turn define, document, and present the solutions back to the client as well as the development team
• Investigate and perform business needs analysis to determine business requirements and identify alternatives
• Support and enable the business to prioritize business requirements for system development or implementation
• Work closely with the Development and BI Teams to ensure a high-quality implementation of the defined solutions
• Doing deep dives to understand processes, reporting and how all transactions and activities flow into the daily, weekly, monthly, and annual reporting
• Design driving development of solutions that encompass the entire system (people, process, and technology)
• Assist in the identification of risks and challenges pertaining to the implementation of the solution requirements
• Lead and guide with the roll out of a new technical solution and changes
• Analyses systems and business processes to determine problems, risks, and opportunities for improvement
• Plan enhancements to solutions, recommend software and systems and translate business / system requirements into specifications, which development teams can utilize to build the solution
• Provide expert advice and skills in identifying shortfalls, closing gaps, and improving solutions
• Building customer relationships and delivering projects based on customer requirements successfully
• Develop test plan, test cases, and collaborate with Test analyst and end-users in terms of various stages of system testing
• Develop data cleansing and migration strategies
