SUMMARY:
DBN000305 – Business Analyst – Durban North

Purpose of the job:
To analyze, comprehend, and communicate business and client objectives into user stories and functional specifications for creating data applications that will satisfy market demands and the company's services is the main goal of the business analyst position.

 
Required Qualifications:

1. BCom (Information systems) or equivalent Diploma + experience.
2. 2 – 5 years BA experience
3. Experience in process analysis, data analysis, testing and facilitation.
4. Completed at least 1 – 2 major development projects within the BA role
5. Strong documentation skills
6. Strong root problem identification
7. Presentation skills
8. Ability to perform project management functions
9. Ability to run JAD workshops
10. Inform the UI/UX of assigned products
11. Basic SQL Knowledge
12. Software Quality Assurance best practices

POSITION INFO:
Technical Competencies & Experience: Make connections and works together with company stakeholders to get precise requirements. Stay in touch, conducts seminars, surveys, site visits, and interviews. Make sure that the criteria for the designated areas are in line with the direction and objectives given by senior leadership. Conduct research on related and competitor products with the goal of gathering needs to maintain assigned items' competitiveness. Must be methodical in compiling objectives and comments from various sources into pertinent lists for product improvement. Perform requirements analysis on Product Backlog items Produce development ready' analysed requirements in advance, at least one iteration\/sprint ahead of the team. Perform research on competitive and related products with intention of obtaining requirements to keep assigned products competitive. Prepare and maintain software release plans which identify the target scope and forecast the delivery date of software based on estimations and available capacity from team.
