POSITION INFO:

Our Client a Global Tech firm is seeking 2 Business Analyst to join their team in Cape town on a 12 month contract. They offer stability, competitive rates, growth and an excellent working environment.

As a Business Analyst, you''ll be responsible for helping the development team to deliver software solutions that meet the business needs. You will provide insight into our clients'' businesses and work with them to design and build new products. You''ll also develop high-level requirements for new features and processes. Your responsibilities may include: conducting analysis of KPIs, gathering data from multiple sources (such as web analytics), identifying potential problems or opportunities within the business environment and recommending solutions; developing accurate user stories based on requirements; creating technical specifications, communicating those specifications with developers in order to create working code; ensuring that all documentation is written clearly enough so that it can be understood by both engineers and non-technical users.

Requirements

• Documenting Business Requirement Specifications for various initiatives and solutions;
• Conducting interviews with key role-players within the various departments to further understand their business processes, needs, and challenges;
• Ensuring effective communication with the relevant departmental unit, i.e. making sure the relevant departmental unit understands what is required from them for the success of the project;
• Conducting presentations of the deliverables for playback to the relevant departmental unit, task team, and top management;
• Conducting playback sessions with the relevant departmental unit, task team, and top management to ensure that the information extracted from the business documents and through the interview process provides correct analyses of past, present, and future business environments;
• Analyzing business processes to determine problems, risks, and opportunities for improvement;
• Working closely with the relevant Systems Analyst and/or Project Manager to design and implement the best possible automated solution within the constraints of the tools available; and
• Documenting requirements including data modeling, interface layouts, data flows and screen, and report layouts
• Ability to collaborate and work as a part of a team;
• Ability to be self-managed, ethical, and honest;
• Ability to be respectful and seek to build relationships;
• Have a pragmatic approach to business transformation;
• Strong presentation skills at board level or executive management level;
• Relevant business development experience and skills; and
• Experience and capability of leading IT technologies.

Qualifications

• One or more tertiary qualification(s) issued by a registered tertiary institution that is/are relevant to the role of the Business Analyst OR
• One or more industry accredited course credential(s) that is/are relevant to the role of the Business Analyst AND
• A minimum of 3 (three) years experience in a Business Analyst or equivalent role.
