POSITION INFO:

A leading company operating in the Information Technology space is looking for a Business Area Controller to join their team. The company is based in the East Rand of Johannesburg. If you are the right person, please apply!

Qualifications:

• BCom degree specialising in Finance and/or Accounting
• CA(SA) qualification is advantageous
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a financial controlling role
• Working knowledge and experience with internal controls, Order to Cash, and Procure-to-pay, and SAP FICO
• Advanced working proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Audit management experience is non-negotiable

Job description & Skills:

• Developing and implementing strategies for the relevant business structures and leaders in the company
• Translating business strategies into systems, controls, and measurable targets
• Establishing internal controls involving the financial and non-financial operations of the company
• Developing and maintaining processes and tools to ensure that high quality information is obtained in accordance with defined standards and financial closing schedules
• Monitoring and managing business operations to provide insight and/or analysis that supports critical decision making
• Communicating with the relevant local divisions, regional controllers, accounting centre, and internal customers
• Monitoring and facilitating the appropriate cost structures, productivity optimisation, cash flow, and capital efficiency to improve the Net Working Capital of the company
• Ensuring the compliance with domestic and international corporate standards, regulations, and guidelines
• Supporting the fulfilment of both internal and external audit
• Liaising with various stakeholders
