Business Consultant: Short-Term Insurance - Pretoria

SUMMARY:
A well established company has an opportunity available for a Business Consultant - Short-Term Insurance, to be based in the Centurion area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Grade 12 National Certificate (NQF4) or an equivalent qualification
• Regulatory Examination 5 (RE5)
• FAIS compliant for Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance
• Must meet Fit and Proper requirements
• Valid South African Driver’s License and Own reliable vehicle
• PC literate – intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel
• Minimum 5 years’ experience Short-term Insurance: Personal and Commercial Lines dealing directly with clients
• Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in Short-term Insurance with proven record of success
• Display an understanding and knowledge of the products and industry
• Regulatory Examination 1 (RE1) will be advantageous
• Short term insurance experience in the Medical field will be an advantage
• Experience working as a Broker will be advantageous
• Willing to travel (80%)

KPAs:

• Source leads to meet agreed new business targets. Internal (group clients) & External (own sourced)
• Develop new sales leads and to build a database of potential clients
• Set up meetings with new leads
• Negotiate best quotations as per client’s needs
• Control administrative sales workflow
• Negotiate with client regarding cancellation in attempt to get client to withdraw cancellation
• Control administrative claim workflow
• Complete weekly activity reports
• Ensure FAIS compliance, industry standard and regulations are adhered to
• Special projects
