SUMMARY:
A well established company has an opportunity available for a Business Consultant - Short-Term Insurance, to be based in the Centurion area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

Grade 12 National Certificate (NQF4) or an equivalent qualification
Regulatory Examination 5 (RE5)
FAIS compliant for Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance
Must meet Fit and Proper requirements
Valid South African Driver’s License and Own reliable vehicle
PC literate – intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel
Minimum 5 years’ experience Short-term Insurance: Personal and Commercial Lines dealing directly with clients
Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in Short-term Insurance with proven record of success
Display an understanding and knowledge of the products and industry
Regulatory Examination 1 (RE1) will be advantageous
Short term insurance experience in the Medical field will be an advantage
Experience working as a Broker will be advantageous
Willing to travel (80%)

KPAs:

Source leads to meet agreed new business targets. Internal (group clients) & External (own sourced)
Develop new sales leads and to build a database of potential clients
Set up meetings with new leads
Negotiate best quotations as per client’s needs
Control administrative sales workflow
Negotiate with client regarding cancellation in attempt to get client to withdraw cancellation
Control administrative claim workflow
Complete weekly activity reports
Ensure FAIS compliance, industry standard and regulations are adhered to
Special projects
