Business Consultant: Short-Term Insurance (STI)

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Insurance Industry has an opportunity available for a Business Consultant: Short-Term Insurance in the Pretoria area.

POSITION INFO:

Requirements:

• Grade 12 National Certificate (NQF4) or an equivalent qualification;
• Regulatory Examination 5 (RE5);
• FAIS compliant for Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance;
• Must meet Fit and Proper requirements;
• Valid South African Driver’s License and Own reliable vehicle;
• PC literate – intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience Short-term Insurance: Personal and Commercial Lines dealing directly with clients;
• Minimum of 5 years’ sales experience in Short-term Insurance with proven record of success;
• Display an understanding and knowledge of the products and industry
• Advantageous requirements
• Regulatory Examination 1 (RE1)
• Short term insurance experience in the Medical field;
• Experience working as a Broker

KPAs:

• Source leads to meet agreed new business targets. Internal (group clients) & External (own sourced)
• Develop new sales leads and to build a database of potential clients
• Set up meetings with new leads
• Obtain quotes from various insurers by calling or on-line
• Present quotes to client & close quality business aligned to sales & marketing plan
• Provide after sales service to ensure/ new business vests
• Maintain and grow existing business by cross selling opportunities -Do Up and cross -selling on existing and new business
• Negotiate with client regarding cancellation in attempt to get client to withdraw cancellation
• Keep clients informed on progress of claims at all times
• Complete weekly activity reports
• Ensure FAIS compliance, industry standard and regulations are adhered to
