JOB SUMMARY:
A well-known and established company, whom is a leading direct importer of renewable energy products, is seeking the services of a Business Development Engineer.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:
  • To create and manage the sale pipeline for the HV 2nd life value ESS.
  • Build the sales projects and work with HV technical team to ensure the targets are met.
  • Seeking out new HV opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media; and crossing industry and business sectors.
  • Follow up and close leads that are received from internal sales and other sources.
  • Setting department strategy to find new prospect projects and clients.
  • Setting up meetings with potential clients and listening to their wishes and concerns.
  • To administrate the HV projects from conception to handover.
  • To manage the HV relationships with external clients and end users that Revov Sales staff are finding/creating.
  • To find finance opportunities and match/manage the financing pathways for the end users.
  • Network across multiple disciplines and companies to assist in closing projects.
  • To timeously get quotes, financials, and technical details out to the client. Close the deal.
  • To explore the HV world and ensure that Revov builds a good technical foundation and reputation.
  • Ensure that R&D are making the right hardware and software for the future HV demand and ensure backward compatibly.
  • Conducting market research and get the inside information from, and about, competitors HV projects and designs, in time for Revov response.
  • Increase the HV PCS range in (South) Africa and win customer acceptance of these.
  • Ensure that social media and email visibility campaigns are well structured, frequent and fruitful.
  • Bookkeeping and administration – monitoring and recording expenditure.

Skills Required:
  • HV system design/operations experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • HV system costing and configuration modelling
  • Good communication skills
  • Technical writing
  • Proposal and tender preparation

Salary:
  • Annual wage of R 600 000 (or per month: R 50 000) plus commission
  • Discretionary budget will be allocated for customer enhancement networking
  • Probation
  • 3-month probation with possible option to extend to 6 months’ probation
