Business Development

• Develop symmetric partnerships with potential new clients, design innovative distribution and product solutions, prepare and conduct presentations;
• Cultivate relationships with existing clients;
• Liaise with the Pricing unit to ensure that all pricing for new business meets internal profitability standards and produce quotations in a timely manner;
• Liaise with the Legal unit to ensure all due diligence and other legal requirements are met;
• Conclude all treaties consistent with internal standards

Business Management

• Ensure that client accounts are up-to-date and accurate;
• Liaise with the Technical Account unit to ensure that outstanding accounts and data are followed up on a regular basis;
• Liaise with the Corporate Actuarial unit to regularly review treaties open for new business and to encode treaties accurately;
• Develop client reports and treaty summaries for all existing client treaties;
• Conclude all addenda to treaties as and when required and update records and keep relevant business units informed;
• Monitor performance at a treaty level in order to identify concerns and action as needed

Reporting

• Consolidate commentary pertaining the client’s performance for assigned clients to the Head of Business Acquisition & Development on a monthly basis;
• Collate information and provide input and commentary for assigend clients for Exco and quarterly board meetings as required

• Qualified or nearly qualified Actuary
• MS Word and Excel – Advanced level
• MS PowerPoint – Intermediate
• MS Outlook – Intermediate 21.7eh
