SUMMARY:
Lead new Business Development, especially in Renewable Energy and implementation of such businesses with the objective of delivering growth potential towards the company’s related businesses in collaboration with the Dubai Branch.

POSITION INFO:

Business Development Executive (Renewable Energy)

Based in Sandton

Salary – CTC R1m per annum

 

Objective:

Lead new Business Development, especially in Renewable Energy and implementation of such businesses with the objective of delivering growth potential towards the company’s related businesses in collaboration with the Dubai Branch.

Partners and Stakeholders (Lenders, Lawyers, etc.)

Governmental entities

 

Experience:

Project Management at business development phase of RE projects (Wind, PV) of South Africa, especially in the process of securing the lands and obtaining the approvals and/or licenses necessary for RE projects.

Procurement of the bid documents for RE projects (Wind, PV) at South Africa (Utility Scale and/or Corporate PPA) from the technical perspective and analysis of the technical terms & conditions and assumptions necessary for the bid procurement.

In addition to the above technical functions, the experience to be involved in RE bids from the commercial perspective, such as the procurement of the finance for the projects and the economical analysis based on the financial model, would be strongly preferable.

EPC management of the RE assets (Wind, PV), as a position in Investor/Developer or EPC contractor.

Implementation of the construction and commissioning activities in good cooperation and coordination with EPC contractor and subcontractors as well as the facilitation with lender engineer for the timely execution including but not limited to;

Responsible for monitoring the site construction and commissioning activities of civil, mechanical, electrical and I&C, and also responsible for supporting EPC contractor and subcontractors for coordinating and facilitating the work schedule, scope and procedures

Act as an interfaces with EPC contractor, subcontractors and other parties involved in the project to ensure that the project implementation are being implemented properly and timely as intended

Support to track the work progress of the EPC contractor to ensure scheduled activities are being completed on time by developing the tracking method together with the project team members. Takes required action if

activities are falling behind schedule

Ensures the Construction and Commissioning work are being executed in compliance with the power purchase agreement, EPC contract, design standards & applicable codes, quality & safety standards and method statement established and agreed in corporation with site team members

Location Basically at South Africa, but availability to move any other countries of MEA area

Business Travel When required
