Signa Opportunity is recruiting unemployed youth for quality workplace experience through the Youth Employment Service (YES) initiative.

About the YES Initiative
The initiative was launched by the President in 2018 and is a partnership with the government and labour department to collectively devise a national plan to build economic pathways for South Africa’s youth by creating workplace opportunities for South African youth over a period of 12 months.

Position: Business Development Intern

Stipend: R8000

Location: Gauteng (Sandton)

POSITION INFO:
About the role

This role supports business development and marketing through market research, proposal preparation, tender support, content creation, online profile management, and branding and event coordination.

Responsibilities

Conduct market and competitor research.
Support preparation of capability statements, BD decks, proposals.
Assist with tender downloads, compliance checklists, and submission packs.
Create marketing content and assist with managing online profiles.
Support branding events, staff engagement, photography, and videography.

Minimum Requirements

South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
Matric.
Diploma/Degree in Marketing, Business Development, Communications, or related field.
Strong writing and research skills.
Familiarity with social media and digital marketing tools.
Creative thinking and attention to detail.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Timely preparation of proposals and BD documents.
Quality and consistency of marketing content created.
CRM updates and follow-up tracking completeness.
Support on tender compilation and compliance accuracy.

Learning Outcomes

Understanding FM market landscape and BD pipeline processes.
Digital marketing skills and content creation exposure.
