SUMMARY:
A leading manufacturer specialising in rigid packaging requires the above to be accountable for managing key account customers within the municipality markets on a national basis.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum requirements for the role:

Previous experience having worked within the rigid plastic packaging or a related market is preferred for the role.
Previous experience selling large plastic waste bins and related bins will be an advantage.
Previous sales experience is essential for the role.
Previous experience having sold products to municipalities is essential for the role.
Previous experience having dealt with tenders at municipalities is essential for the role.
Must be able to work in a team and must have good Excel and Word experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Managing key account customers selling rigid plastic packaging products into municipalities on a national basis.
Tendering for business at municipalities and driving the tender process to completion.
Defining sales and marketing objectives and strategies for sales territories.
Drive sales budgets, forecasts as well as yearly sales targets.
Driving and managing sales forecasting and operational planning process.
Obtaining market share according to the company’s strategy.
Managing and overseeing all contracts and agreements with customers and distributors in alignment with the company’s strategy.
Assisting quality and operations ensuring that the customer complaint reporting process is adhered to.
Generating and presenting sales reports to senior management.
Obtaining and initiating new business projects.
Optimising and selectively implementing new products in order to maximise profit.
Managing and negotiating pricing with customers.

Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
