JOB SUMMARY:
NATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
AGRICULTURAL EQUIPMENT AND PARTS
We are assisting our client who is a market leader in providing agricultural equipment spares to find a dynamic National Business Development Manager who is passionate about Sales and Marketing and the Agricultural Sector.
An ideal opportunity for a candidate who wants to make their mark and utilise their agricultural and sales and marketing experience by engaging with the company branch network and customers.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


To develop and grow the sales and market share of product offering covering the Agriculture market, by engaging with the company branch network and customers.
To offer product training to staff and customers, technical advice on new and existing products, monitor the Agriculture market, perform competitor analysis and identify new market and product opportunities.
Main mandate and focus is also to expand the product offering to include a range of fast movers into the Agri basket.
Change the current sales/marketing initiative into a market leading roll player that specialises in the latest Agricultural products, services and support.

Financial:

Meet sales targets
- Stock management
Customers:
- Maintain a regular calling schedule with branch representatives to customers.
- Identify a set of key accounts to target and grow
- Identify new customers to grow the total product offering.
Training and product awareness:
- Conduct regular training presentations for both staff and customers.
- Develop and maintain product literature.
Suppliers:
- Form and maintain relationships and regular communication with existing suppliers.
- Source new suppliers and products in line with divisional strategy.
Product support:
- Customer surveys and troubleshooting undertaken on site.
- Product failure analysis and failure report writing.
- Product identification.

Education
Matric/Grade 12
- Technical trade or qualification in Agriculture would be advantageous
- Computer literate essential
Experience
- Min 10 years Agriculture and process experience
- High level sales experience will be an advantage
- Product knowledge – Tractors and Agri equipment
- Experience in customer negotiations i.e. Trade/Contracts etc
- Purchasing experience and negotiating experience
Knowledge
- Knowledge of agri manufacturing, planting, harvesting & processing processes
- Product knowledge and industry knowledge
- Purchasing knowledge
