JOB SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Business Manager you will be required to actively market alternative proteins and plant-based commodities to current and new customers in South Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be required to grow your customer base and increase the market share in bakery and meat portfolios. Due to our clients'' Equity Plan, preference will be given to Equity candidates.

Essential Qualifications, Experience and Skills:

BSC/N Diploma Food Science/Food Technology Qualification
Commercial qualification will be an added advantage
Minimum 8-10 years of sales experience in the food and beverage industry
Product/business management experience in the food industry essential
Deep understanding of principal management, sales and business development
Proven track record in delivering sustainable value in large projects
Strong selling and negotiation skills (Customer-centric)
Strong financial modelling skills
Syspro or SAP experience would be an advantage
Business aptitude with strong value-based selling techniques and Commercial Awareness

Key Result Areas

Analyse market insights gathered by sales teams to determine the market potential
Identify and roll out new products in Bakery and Meat portfolios
Knowledge transfer and technical training of all sales and technical staff
Management of product introduction, new product development, customer
Negotiation of supply agreements in both local and international markets
Supplier & product management
Responsible for budgets and forecasts as well as driving project pipelines
Manage working capital
Manage sales targets
Multi-level relationships with key customers and regular visits
Provides timely reports and information as required by management
