Do you have a flair for travel and tourism, then this is your opportunity to join South Africa leading company in the hospitality. We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager who will be responsible for new business development and acquiring new clients for the company by solution selling.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful incumbent will be responsible for:

Engaging and presenting the company to new clients in the region, including cold calling to arrange client meetings
Understanding the clients’ travel needs to present the most appropriate travel solution and business value
Ensuring that all new business is secured and profitable
Evaluating participation and taking the lead on all bids (RPFs, RFIs, RFQs and Tenders)
Negotiating, at all levels, within clients’ organisations
Motivating and influencing multiple streams externally (i.e. client, suppliers, partners) and internally (all the company’s teams) to support successful implementations
Working closely with account management and implementation teams on handovers of new clients for managing and farming these accounts
Providing accurate and achievable financial estimates of customer implementations in order to recover investment costs
Ensuring profitable and sustainable business solutions
Coordinating with Global Systems team on costing and absorption of global solutions and ensure recoverability from local customers
Contributing to the overall assessment of systems costs and affordability of solutions to the company

The ideal candidate has:

Sales/Marketing Diploma (equivalent to an NQF level 5 is preferable)
3-5 years’ experience in the travel industry
