Our client, a well-established Supply Chain and Logistics company and a division of a JSE-listed Group, is seeking two driven and strategic Business Development Managers, one based in Durban and one in Cape Town.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the National Commercial Manager, you will:

• Identify and research new business opportunities by analysing market trends and potential target markets.
• Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve growth and profitability objectives.
• Build, maintain and strengthen relationships with clients and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor and report on sales performance, tracking progress against key metrics and goals.
• Collaborate closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing and Product Development to ensure project success.
• Negotiate and close business deals that drive sustainable growth.
• Maintain accurate engagement data and reporting on the Sales Mobility platform, ensuring high-quality administration and compliance. 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing or Supply Chain
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Sales or Business Development role within a logistics, supply chain or freight environment.
• Shipping experience may be considered.
• Proven sales track record with experience in developing and executing growth strategies.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, market dynamics, and competitive environments. 

• Excellent sales, negotiation and communication skills.
• Strong strategic and analytical thinking abilities.
• Deep understanding of marketing principles and customer engagement.
• Motivated, proactive, and target-driven with strong business acumen.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Positive attitude, initiative, and a passion for achieving results in a dynamic industry.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
