POSITION INFO:

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to drive growth, expand market presence, and build long-term client relationships. The BDM will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing tailored solutions for clients, and achieving sales and revenue targets.

A South Africa-based company that specialises in providing refurbished IT hardware through rental, sales, and asset management services, helping businesses reduce costs and environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales & Revenue Growth

• Achieve and exceed annual sales and revenue targets.
• Drive lead generation, client acquisition, and business expansion within assigned territories.
• Convert qualified opportunities into successful sales, ensuring consistent billing and client satisfaction.
• Prepare proposals, pricing, and quotations aligned with business objectives and client needs.

2. Client & Market Development:

• Identify new markets, clients, and growth opportunities.
• Understand client business needs and design compelling, value-driven solutions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
• Provide after-sales support to ensure high levels of customer retention and satisfaction.

3. Strategic Collaboration

• Work closely with internal business units and leadership to design and implement new solutions.
• Collaborate with principal vendors, negotiating pricing and managing procurement processes.
• Partner across industries and service lines to leverage cross-selling and upselling opportunities.

4. Governance, Risk & Compliance:

• Stay informed on industry trends, technologies, and emerging opportunities.
• Manage business risks by monitoring external and internal changes that impact clients or operations.
• Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with corporate governance policies.

5. Reporting & Performance Management:

• Track, analyse, and report on pipeline, revenue performance, and market activity.
• Provide accurate forecasting and feedback to management.
• Lead or support improvement initiatives to enhance profitability and efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Financial Management, or equivalent NQF 7 qualification.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of sales or business development experience, preferably within the IT solutions or technology sector.
• Proven track record in achieving sales targets and managing key accounts.
• Sound understanding of financial and commercial models.
