Exciting career opportunity for a Business Development/Sales Manager at a 4PL Logistics Company in Johannesburg.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description

Finding new business from a sound database of self generate leads
An understanding of sales and marketing principles
Knowledge of international trade principles
An understanding of Air, Road and Sea freight forwarding practices and procedures
Meeting sales performance targets
Understanding freight costs and mark-ups
Liaising with clients
Maintaining and updating client record information
Continue expansion among existing clients

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12
Any sales diploma or degree is an added advantage
Minimum 5 to 10 years of progressive sales executive experience in the clearing, forwarding and logistics industry
Proven sales track record of sales growth
Must understand tariff codes and INCO terms
Customer service orientated
Good communication skills both in person and online
Able to navigate around Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
Need to be innovative and able to operate in the digital logistics space
Good decision-making and negotiation skills
Good presentation skills
