Business Development and Senior Sales Executive

SUMMARY:
Our client, an international specialist manufacturer, seeks to employ a Business Development and Sales Executive to join their progressive and expanding professional team.
 
Please note, we do require a candidate who has proven experience in business development and sales within the bitumen, asphalt, road surfacing, road construction or related construction materials sectors.

POSITION INFO:
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION: You will have completed a tertiary qualification in Business Management, Marketing, Sales, Commerce, Supply Chain or a related field, which will be advantageous. You will have proven experience in business development and sales, specifically within the bitumen, asphalt, road construction, infrastructure, petroleum, petrochemical or related industrial sectors. You must be able to work independently and proactively identify, source and develop new business opportunities. You will be responsible for sourcing prospective customers, developing new business relationships and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline. You will be responsible for preparing accurate product costings, pricing, quotations and commercial proposals, ensuring competitive pricing and acceptable profit margins. You will have proven experience in negotiating pricing, volumes, payment terms and other commercial conditions with customers and successfully concluding sales. You will have solid working knowledge and expertise in product costing, pricing, margin calculations and commercial negotiations. You will have a strong commercial understanding, numerical ability and the ability to assess market pricing and competitor activity. Strong understanding of customer relationship management, sales processes and business development within a technical or industrial product environment is essential. You must have excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional customer relationships. You will be required to liaise closely with the Commercial Manager, suppliers, procurement, logistics and internal operations to ensure customer requirements, pricing, product availability and delivery requirements are effectively managed. You must be highly driven, results-oriented, proactive and commercially minded, with a proven ability to identify and convert new business opportunities. You must have strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record.
