Business Implementation Manager

POSITION INFO:
Main Purpose of the Role:
To lead and deliver EDI/API integration projects by collaborating with customers, service providers, account owners, and IT. The role includes requirements validation, process design, testing, training, and post-go-live support to ensure integration projects are implemented on time and in line with business KPIs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Liaise with customers, internal stakeholders, and IT to coordinate integration projects.
• Review and validate customer requirements and complete business request forms.
• Define To-Be processes and develop internal SOPs and user manuals with Key Account Managers.
• Develop and execute User Acceptance Tests (UAT) and ensure successful sign-off.
• Facilitate system and process training for operational teams.
• Act as the first escalation point for integration issues to business management.
• Manage project KPIs and ensure timely delivery without incurring penalties.
• Prepare integration documentation and support the business in post-go-live hypercare and troubleshooting.
• Ensure system usage and adoption align with defined processes and customer expectations.

• 6–8 years' experience in business analysis, consulting, or a systems role, with a strong focus on EDI/API integration.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end integration projects.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to self-manage and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Prior customer-facing experience essential.
• Freight Forwarding or Logistics industry experience highly advantageous.
• Experience with TMS, ERP systems, and customer visibility platforms is a plus.

• Matric (essential)
• Tertiary qualification in a relevant field (advantageous)
• Industry-recognised certifications related to logistics or IT systems are an advantage

• Solid understanding of EDI/API technologies and integration practices
• Familiarity with XML, XSD schemas, and Message Instruction Guides (MIGs)
• Experience working with system documentation such as Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and Customer Scope Documents (CSDs)
• Ability to conduct and support UAT, system troubleshooting, and end-user training
